The Enneagram's origins are obscure, but it has been used by many spiritual communities. Perhaps it originated with the Pythagorean, and was developed by the Sufi or Christian traditions. More recently it has been used in the Jesuit and other Christian communities for spiritual direction. It has also been adapted by psychologists and councilors for use in the lay - secular use.
This class introduces one to the nine personality types of the Enneagram, their characteristics and dynamics. Some questions we will ask are as follows: Why do I do what I do?, Who am I? How did I develop my personality?, How do I grow and change? How do I relate to others, and others to me? How do I nurture others? How do I increase awareness?

The class will run 10 weeks starting September 4th. We have limited space, so enroll by September 30th. Registration here: Enneagram - LCC registration
For more information see the second post.
The book we will be using (and which is provided) is by Helen Palmer, The Enneagram in Love and Work; Understanding your intimate & business Relationships", Harper-Collins Publisher, NY, 1995. The book is supplemental to the class, so it is not required that you read it, just suggested. My goal is to give the students principle in discerning and using principles within the Enneagram;'s structure.
